GROTE PYR

Monumentaal schoolgebouw wordt ecologisch woon-werkcomplex

De verbouwing van een monumentale HBS tot woonwerkgebouw gaat samen met een intensieve inzet van de bewoners en gebruikers. Het gebouw huisvest ± 15 bedrijven en 25 woningen. De verbouwing is gericht op het casco en wordt zoveel mogelijk op ecologische wijze uitgevoerd. Door wijziging van de ontsluitingsstructuur en intensivering van het ruimtegebruik is het gebruiksoppervlak verdubbeld.

Er is een vergaand en experimenteel ecologisch warmte- en watersysteem uitgedacht. Voor de warmtevoorziening wordt gebruik gemaakt van een speciaal voor de maat van de lokalen ontwikkelde houtkachel. (Te koop bij Bergkachel) De afbouw vindt plaats met behulp van een handboek van constructieve en bouwkundige adviezen, en is verder vrij naar inzichten van de bewoners/gebruikers.
